one of the single worst best of lists I have seen, I do enjoy your blog though. Have you got Grizzly Bear Veckatimest? and, if you enjoy some harder music Converge's new album Axe to Fall is a good one.

Thanks for the Grizzly Bear "Veckatimest" recommendation. I'm Listening now, and I think that it would have been on my list if I'd known about it earlier

Just found your skepticism blog when reading the excellent jack of kent blog. Enjoying it so far so thought I'd take a look at your music.
Great to see Mastodon in there. They're touring the UK in February.
Anyway some 2009 albums you might want to check out:
Super Furry Animals - Dark Days/Light Years (can't go wrong with the Furries)
Sunn O))) - Monoliths and Dimensions (absolutely frightening record)
Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca (not even going to attempt to describe it)
Julian Casablancas - Phrazes For The Young (if you like the strokes then you can't go wrong)
Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport (listening right now and it's ace)
The Felice Brothers - Yonder Is The Clock
The Duke & The King - Nothing Gold Can Stay
(if you like folky, americana type such as Low Anthemn then these are a must)
Glaring omission in possibly best album of year: Wild Beasts - Two Dancers
Lastly: We Were Promised Jetpacks - These Four Walls (excellent young Scottish band)
Sorry to ramble but all are worth listening to several times
