Love your choices. 'All Along the Watchtower' would be my number one too. How about 'Going Down to Liverpool' by The Bangles and 'Our Lips are Sealed' by Fun Boy Three?
Great choices except for 3 & 4 - great, but 'better'? Nah!
Every fibre of my upbringing tells me to rail against the Kula Shaker choice, but deep down I know you're right.

I guess Cake's "I Will Survive" and The Stranglers' "Walk On By" must have slipped your mind? Glad you remembered Nirvana, though.
